THE LEGACY OF A MOTOR RACING LEGEND

Last week saw the prestigious awards aimed as a showcase and celebration of the automotive film and television industry. And our McLaren Senna launch film scooped the top prize in the Best Commercial Film Category jointly with a film for Mercedes Benz. Developed, conceived and written by our ECD Nick Presley and Planning Director Simon Callender, the film was produced with automotive film specialist Carnage and directed by Piggy Lines.

Presley commented; “Given the competition and brands we were up against, and the quality of their work, we are honoured and delighted that our work has been recognised in this way. When you get a brief that asks you to make the hairs on the back of peoples’ necks stand up, it can be daunting, but I genuinely believe we did this because of the talent that helped us make this film happen, not least Piggy who was a legend.”

The film charts the career of three-time World Drivers Champion Ayrton Senna and shows how his attitude and achievements inspired the fastest road legal track McLaren had built to date.
