Are You Barmy For A Sarnie?

To celebrate Britain's unique love of sandwiches, Walkers – in partnership with Heinz – has released a delicious new limited edition range of sandwich flavoured crisps, inspired by the nation's favourite sandwich fillings. We've worked with Walkers to to create the Barmy for Sarnies concept, please see more about this work on our Live Now page:

In honour of this crisp/sandwich union we've opened the Walkers Crisp Sarnie Club – a place where like-minded crisp sarnie lovers can go to enjoy a crisp sarnie with our new crisp flavours, either on their own or with a choice of delicious fillings such as chicken, bacon or cheese.

Hidden behind a movable shelf (stacked with Walkers crisps) in an unassuming newsagent, called Chris Peter's News (do you get it… ;)), you'll find the Walkers Crisp Sarnie Club that can only be entered using the secret password 'I'm barmy for sarnies'. A first of its kind, this fully immersive pop-up experience (on Tooley Street, London Bridge) invites members of the public to celebrate the much-underrated lunchtime, teatime, any time flavour-filled snack – the humble crisp sarnie. Guests will step into a crisps based heaven when they can 'build-your-own-crisp-sarnie' and enjoy a drink and other fun, sandwich-themed activities.

The Club opened on the 8th September and will stay open until 1st October. Members of the public can book tables online at Eventbrite (from £3 p/person) or simply walk in (with 60 places a day for walk-ins) and, together, raise a square (or even a triangle) to a true hero amongst foods. The Walkers Crisp Sarnie Club has been used to film an ITV online mini-series hosted by Paddy McGuinness. Keep an eye out for 'Perfect Pairings' that will feature online at the end of this month. The Barmy for Sarnies ad featuring Gary Lineker and Paddy is available to see here: created by AMV and OMD.
